ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)
Responsible for the management and disposition of an assigned portfolio, which may contain performing or non-performing loans and REO, in an effort to maximize the goals and objectives for the portfolio.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement an approved asset management strategy for assigned portfolio, including business plans and case preparation within portfolio assigned timeframes.
- Correspondence and negotiations with borrowers, guarantors and/or their representatives.
- Completion of various internal and external reports for portfolio management. As necessary, maintain the portfolio records and files, including the system of record.
- Monitor the performance of third-party vendors and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation of financial analysis for various management and disposition strategies.
- Travel as required. Meet with the borrowers, guarantors, property managers, brokers, attorneys and site inspectors, etc.
- Review asset files of the portfolio as necessary to obtain pertinent asset information.
- Assist in the oversight and training of less experienced staff members in sound collection and workout practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a college degree or equivalent job-related experience.
- Possess computer literacy including good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access software programs.
- Possess at least five (5) years relevant experience in real estate law and/or financial services.
- Some travel required.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of bank, conventional, agency, and/or commercial mortgage-backed securities origination and servicing is recommended.
