What you will do:
The Global Internal Controls Team is a “second line” risk management function who partners closely with Finance, business operations, IT, Internal Audit, and functional leads across the company.
The Monitoring Senior Analyst in the Global Internal Controls Team will report to the Control Monitoring Program Manager and support monitoring activities for several areas across the Company, including balance sheet reconciliations, high risk payments, and inventory counting. This role will coordinate with individuals across the company to execute monitoring, identify potential issues, and report and track issues through resolution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Monitoring Manager in performing periodic risk assessments for each monitoring program to set the monitoring plan and strategy for the year.
- Coordinate with individuals across the company to obtain necessary support to perform monitoring activities.
- Execute on the monitoring plan, maintaining high quality workpapers to clearly support conclusions on the appropriateness of transactions reviewed.
- Perform root cause analysis of issues identified through monitoring activities.
- Provide input on enhancements to the monitoring program for continued process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support aggregation of results of monitoring programs and periodic reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Education & Special Trainings:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (required)
- CPA or other equivalent professional certification (preferred)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in internal controls, risk management, auditing, or related field
- Supervisory or project management experience required
- Public accounting experience with SEC registrant clients (preferred)
- Experience in evaluating internal controls over financial reporting for SOX compliance at a global organization
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and pronouncements from the SEC and PCAOB
- Med tech industry experience is a plus
