Senior Acquisition Sustainment Analyst– Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC)

Position Overview:
As part of OMNI’s Acquisition Program Management team, you will leverage your expertise in acquisition program management to support the sustainment of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center’s Weapons Secure Storage Division (AFNWC/WS3). In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and managing resources to efficiently accomplish USAF acquisition objectives. You will also provide project management assistance for key sustainment projects, develop strategic work plans, and manage project documentation to ensure the success of these critical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply acquisition program management knowledge to develop and implement project work plans with milestones and key deliverables for AFNWC/WS3 projects.
- Coordinate multiple workgroup committees, ensuring that all project stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain a repository of all project-related documents, including meeting materials, background documentation, project plans, decision/follow-up item logs, and lessons learned.
- Provide administrative briefs and track required training to ensure project compliance with established protocols.
- Deliver high-quality briefings and reports to executive leadership, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment with USAF acquisition objectives.
- Support the sustainment of weapon systems, including conducting tests, completing analyses, and developing risk assessments for Service Life Extension Programs (SLEP).
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of combined industry and federal government experience in program management, with expertise in DoD Acquisition, logistics, and basic electrical and mechanical systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience in weapon system sustainment and Service Life Extension Programs (SLEP), including test conduction, analysis, and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for managing project documentation and communications.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans using project management principles and processes.
- Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise project documentation and executive-level briefings.
- Certifications: Minimum of CLEP Defense Industry Life-Cycle Logistics Level I – Apprentice.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance is required.
- Other Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent planning and prioritization skills, and comfort working with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
