We are a union construction company looking for an individual to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handling accounts payable tasks including analyzing vendor statements, ensuring bills are paid in a timely manner, and processing payments (checks and ACH).
- Perform all activities to process union and office payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
- Assist with general ledger accounting and reconciliation.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an accounting role or similar position.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in data entry and use of accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of payroll management processes and regulations.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting and journal entries.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
