Internal Audit professionals are experienced, well-trained and credentialed and operate within a collaborative and agile environment to deliver high value, independent opinions, insights and recommendations. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires a passion for identifying and mitigating risk and a willingness to serve as an advisor to your audit engagement stakeholders as you develop and provide business, industry and regulatory knowledge. The position requires a critical thinker with above average attention to details, who can operate both independently and as part of a team to ensure work is completed on schedule and meets our high-quality standards. From initial planning to final reporting, you will play an integral role in testing the regulatory compliance of our business lines as well as evaluating the effectiveness of our regulatory compliance program as a whole. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work. As a Senior Compliance Auditor, you will assist Internal Audit management in evaluating the adequacy, administration and effectiveness of the Bank’s regulatory Compliance Management Program and related internal controls. As a regulatory compliance subject matter expert, you will participate in Internal Audit's annual risk assessment process and the development of the compliance components of the annual audit plan. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including assisting and/or performing the planning, execution and reporting of multiple compliance audit engagements within budgeted hours to support the Bank’s on-going regulatory compliance. You will work with Internal Audit management to identify and assess the impact of control deficiencies, identify root causes, provide recommendations for corrective action and monitoring timely remediation. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as you are interacting with Bank management during those engagement. You will build a great rapport with clients, teammates and fellow associates and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.
Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of compliance, regulatory, audit, or operational risk management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Federal banking rules and regulations.
Desired Qualifications: To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some of the following qualifications:
- Advanced degree or relevant professional certification – e.g. Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- 5+ years of compliance, regulatory, audit, or operational risk management experience for a financial institution.
- Experience with Teammate+ audit software.
