Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is seeking a skilled and versatile Business Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of general business knowledge and technical skills, with expertise in business statistics, advanced Excel, and data visualization tools. If you have a keen understanding of business functions such as Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), cash cycle, and inventory management, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Data Analysis
- Collect and analyze sales information at the customer, branch, and product levels to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Evaluate inventory information, focusing on financial aspects, to optimize inventory management practices and enhance profitability.
- Incorporate macroeconomic data, including raw materials pricing and shipping data, into analysis to anticipate market trends and inform strategic decisions.
Financial Analysis
- Calculate inventory turns and profitability on items to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to support budgeting and planning processes.
- Provide insights into key financial metrics such as revenue, margins, and return on investment (ROI).
Reporting and Visualization
- Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, advanced Excel and data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Continuously improve reporting processes and data visualization techniques to enhance decision-making capabilities.
Business Process Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in business processes and recommend solutions for optimization.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and monitor their impact on business performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in a business analysis or related role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in business statistics, advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of business functions such as Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), cash cycle, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
