Description
The role is responsible for preparing invoices, ensuring customers are billed properly, managing merchant rejected transactions/deposits, and conducting quality assurance (QA) on partners' monthly residual reports. This person will also prepare daily reporting for clients, add/remove fees from customer accounts, and perform data analysis. Provides back-up support for Back Office and Residual team. The position requires the desire to take ownership of your work, is self-motivated, and works well with other team members. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Requirements
- Manage and process payments related to partners/ISOs and their revenue share commission residual.
- Manage administrative items related to partner payments (bank account changes, agreement revisions, etc).
- Validate qualified merchant accounts for partner/agent weekly or monthly incentives.
- Manage administrative items related to merchant records.
- Manage assigned cases and tasks in the department’s queue.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, including tracking payments and past due balances, and working with the Operations team.
- Perform research related to merchant transactions.
- Administer equipment billing and merchant monthly recurring fees.
- Perform monthly vendor invoice audits to ensure costs are properly passed to merchants or agents.
- Identify errors and assist others in fixing errors related to merchant and agent billing.
- Conduct research of data entry in the internal tracking system.
- Educate others on business rules for properly paying partners/agents.
- Manage the processes associated with paying partners/ISOs their revenue share commission payments.
- Validate sales for commissionable agents.
- Field questions and concerns regarding sales entries and bonus payouts.
- Create and maintain procedure documentation.
- Backup other Financial Operations & Support team members.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a comparable role is required.
- Experience in the payments industry is a strong plus but not required.
- Experience with Netsuite (ERP) is a plus.
- Analytical, naturally curious, detail-oriented, and effective communication skills.
- Desire to take ownership of your work, be self-motivated, and work well with other team members.
- Experience navigating a CRM system, loading files, researching account issues, and identifying technical issues that need to be resolved with the system owner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Experience administering internal complex compensation plans is strongly preferred.
- Intermediate level MS Excel proficiency is required.
