Key Role:
Lead the Risk, Issue, Opportunity, and GFx (R/I/O/G) Management activities for a large, complex agile development contract. Manage the application of analytical risk management principles to prepare for, prevent, mitigate, and respond to risks. Develop and maintain the Program R/I/O/G Framework, Risk & Opportunity Management Plan, and Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) to document processes, activities, instructions, best practices, and lessons learned. Analyze trends, conduct assessments, report results, propose risk reduction measures, manage R/I/O/G response activities, and provide oversight and training to Risk Managers, Risk Owners, and the Program Management Office on R/I/O/G management processes, requirements, tools, and techniques. Interface with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) staff to support creation of R/I/O/G-adjusted costs and schedule estimates. Lead a R/I/O/G team of up to 3 individuals to perform R/I/O/G activities. Be the principal POC to Government R/I/O/G POCs for the program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience implementing and updating Program Risk and Opportunity Management Plan and Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) to document processes, activities, instructions, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Knowledge of industry best practices to continuously improve processes to optimize risk governance and enable effective risk identification, assessment, prioritization, response, and monitoring of the most critical risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the program.
- Ability to apply communication expertise to convey meaningful insights to complex issues and explain findings to teammates and executives.
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail, including analyzing problems, conducting research, evaluating options for action, and providing thoughtful recommendations at a strategic level.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Additional Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing a client-facing Risk Management Program.
- Experience using the Jira toolset.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) objectives.
- Knowledge of software development techniques such as Agile development, DoD cyber, and other technical elements.
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of excellent analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and action tracking skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or similar certifications.
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
