Key Role
Assists the U.S. Army staffs by serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a Lessons Learned Program with focus in the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) and as a JLLIS Administrator and Organization Lessons Learned Manager. Maintains responsibility for the implementation of JLLIS as the DoD system of record database for organizations IAW regulatory guidelines, managing and synchronizing the input of data from identified operations and events as required. Coordinates and conducts Lessons Learned and JLLIS support and training for personnel and organizations in support of events to include emerging requirements as identified by leadership. Organizes data collected and conducts analysis of trends or statistical information. Creates, delivers, and maintains tailored and functional training products and deliverables, updates current processes and procedures, records and tracks all information in JLLIS or designated system based upon mission partner requirements. Maintains a professional continuum of learning by attending conferences, workshops, or courses as required to further improve the ability to impact exercise evaluation and assessment, lessons learned program, comply with regulatory and federal guidelines, and stay current with new technologies and practices. Travels to and participates in required workshops including Concept, Initial, Mid, and Final exercises, and other required events to provide Lessons Learned support and JLLIS integration efforts. Improves organizational processes and performance by ensuring that valuable insights and experiences are documented and shared effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in training with the military or joint organizations
- Experience with using Microsoft Office to include all applications and components such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and with A365 Teams and SharePoint
- Experience with instructing adult learners
- Knowledge of principles, methods, processes, and regulations involved in supporting training and doctrine
- Knowledge and understanding of military force structure and training within organizations at different echelons
- Ability to train in classroom sizes of 50+
- Ability to be self-disciplined and exercise good judgement, and work independently and with minimal oversight
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support exercises, Unit Battle Assemblies, and other emerging requirements
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with the military at the institutional and strategic levels
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Possession of excellent critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
- Completion of a foundational Instructor or Facilitator Course, including certified instructor courses through the Armed Services
- Experience as an exercise Observer / Controller / Trainer (OC/T), Chief OC/T or Analyst
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies
- Experience with in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizations, articulating key findings
- Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, standards, and adequate support for conclusions
- Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique approaches that enable assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks
- Knowledge of Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP) or Army Lessons Learned Program (ALLP), Army Training Network (ATN) to include the Combined Arms Training Strategy (CATS) and Mission Essential Task List (METL), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), and Force Management System Web (FMSWeb)
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
