We are looking for the following person in our Darmstadt Office (Germany):
- Assist internal and external audits; you will be the point of contact for internal and external auditors, reporting to the Head of Finance.
- Manage tax authority inquiries/audits.
- Interface with the accounting team and other departments.
- Prepare annual financial statements and statistics in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), as well as monthly VAT and annual tax returns in cooperation with external partners.
- Work on tax issues in cooperation with internal and external partners, and communicate with the tax office.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of statutory tax disclosures, quarterly and year-end tax provisions, and tax account reconciliations.
- Support in processing vendor invoices.
- Support in checking and processing travel expenses and credit card statements.
- Monthly posting and reconciliation of accruals/prepaids.
- Prepare payment forecast reports and data capturing (balances + movements) for forecast and processing of regular payment runs.
- Reconcile payables balances and investigate unapplied items.
- Ensure that accounting/financial information is accurate.
- Manage fixed assets.
- Handle intercompany transactions.
Your Profile:
- Accounting and Finance university degree or certified education as a finance specialist.
- At least 5 years of general accounting experience.
- Good experience with local statutory accounting and tax compliance, able to prepare statutory accounts under German GAAP.
- Proficient with MS Office: Outlook, Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High-level communication skills.
- Native or fluent German, good level of English (verbal and written); any other European language is a big plus.
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills used to work in an international environment.

- Good at transmitting knowledge.
- Pragmatic view and honest communication, priority/deadline oriented.
- Experience working in international environments and corporations.
