We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Analyst Division Order Sr within our Land Administration team based in The Woodlands or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and monitors well reports for geographic area.
- Determines division of interests, calculates amount of royalties and ensures timely payment of royalties for complex transactions.
- Performs deck set-up for operated, payout, and non-operated wells.
- Calculates and reports ownership interests.
- Ensures well set-up processes are effectively integrated between Land Operations, Land Administration and Accounting.
- Follows contractual and state statutory payment requirements.
- Revises working interests and royalty interests based on deeds, assignments, judgments and decrees.
- Performs ownership changes.
- Sets-up and maintains units, including amendments and revisions.
- Analyses and interprets leases, division orders, contracts, deeds, title opinions, probate and assignments.
- Identifies and resolves data integrity issues.
- Determines and requests documentation needed to cure title obligations.
- May assist in making recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures.
- Identifies and offers alternative solutions to resolve issues.
- Obtains and interprets curative material for resolution of title defects and other issues.
- Interprets contracts and leases for all properties, identifying and resolving technical, data-related and process/procedural issues.
- Prepare appropriate forms for disbursement of payments including preparation of division orders, supplemental division orders and transfer orders.
- Identifies and offers alternative solutions to effectively resolve issues and deliver improvements to processes and systems.
- Perform assigned tasks.
- Follow company standards, processes and practices of the Division Order Team.
- Effectively works across discipline boundaries (e.g. Land Operations, Accounting, Marketing).
- Communicates with the legal department when necessary.
- Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on projects as an individual contributor or project lead.
- Maintains affiliations with local/ national associations and is an active participant through attending meetings and networking events on a frequent basis.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP experience a plus.
- Ability to work under deadlines and sometimes on multiple projects.
- Handle confidential and proprietary company data and information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of basic land principles and their application with the ability to analyze land data for the entry into the land data management system.
- General understanding of land terminology, contracts, and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general direction.
- State of New Mexico experience a plus.
