Summary:
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you are responsible for accounts payable functions, assisting with managing and controlling financial and accounting systems. You will also process and account for all invoices and support all office administration functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full cycle two- and three-way match
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balance
- Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
- Utilize computerized accounting software programs (AS400, APC, Excel, and Word) to perform duties and responsibilities
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Assist with other general office tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
Preferred:
- Two or more years related office experience preferred
- Degree/Certifications in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
