Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Kansas City, Kansas (No relocation assistance, but sign-on bonus potential)
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute advanced financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Run data queries and manipulate information for project-specific analysis.
- Develop and maintain cost reports, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
- Provide financial analysis to support the company’s goals and offer recommendations to the directors, controller, and management team.
- Participate in the month-end close process, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist in annual physical inventory audits and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
- Identify areas for improvement in business processes, working with relevant teams to implement positive changes.
- Collaborate with Production Control to ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOM) and reflect the latest manufacturing practices.
- Analyze variances in labor, material, and overhead costs compared to standards and budgets, and provide detailed monthly reports.
- Develop automated accounting applications to streamline financial processes and improve productivity.
- Support the plant controller in maintaining internal controls for finance and operations.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and respond to management’s requests for special financial reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related business field is required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial and operational management skills.
- Ability to analyze and present complex data in a clear, concise manner for non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across all levels of a manufacturing organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with JDE, Hyperion Essbase, and Tableau is a plus.
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- Willingness to travel to plants as needed.
