The Financial Analyst will report to the Portfolio Manager and work on a wide range of projects while assisting with the Fund’s strategy execution and day-to-day operations. The analyst will be involved in various aspects of financial analysis and support reporting, modelling and the creation of presentations.

What will you do?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.
- Coordinate the completion of quarterly reporting to partners/investors.
- Create and maintain financial models using Excel software for cash and income forecasting, asset management, and various variance and sensitivity analysis.
- Responsible for portfolio analytics and calculation of fund level key performance metrics (i.e. IRRs, time weighted returns, etc.).
- Coordinate quarterly external valuations and perform detailed review; maintain valuation policies.
- Create and enhance internal and external reports and presentations.
- Respond and manage quarterly investor questionnaire process and assist client relations team with due diligence requests from prospective investors.
- Monitor debt compliance, liquidity needs across portfolio and assist in coordinating capital calls and distributions.
- Assess Fund performance vs. benchmarks, such as NCREIF indexes.
- Assist and track Fund related initiatives (ESG, strategy).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business results against Corporate KPIs, and provide updated financial forecasts to investors and senior management.
- Coordinate with various teams to compile the annual budget for senior management approval.
- Maintain a financial forecast model to provide pro-forma financial statements for senior management.
- Assist in the production of annual strategic plans.
- Analyze, review, and summarize operational and financial data, and communicate findings to investors and senior management through concise charts and tables.
- Perform data analytics and ad-hoc analysis as required for senior management for insights and trends.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to streamline and optimize existing processes for continuous improvements.
What type of experience do you have?

- At least 3+ years of experience through roles in finance, asset management, accounting, or investments; real-estate experience is a plus.
- Prior experience with private open-ended real estate funds is preferred.
- University degree with a background in business, economics, math, statistics, or engineering. In progress of pursuing a CPA or CFA is an asset.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly proficient in financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience working with databases and programming languages for queries and performing data analytics.
- Have a strong interest in real estate, capital markets, and the motivation to constantly learn and challenge oneself.
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and familiarity with reading and analyzing financial statements.
- Proficient understanding of private equity return methodologies and calculations.
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to meet deadlines and quick-turnaround expectations.
- Strong work ethic with high integrity.

Salary Range is $80,000-100,000 annually. Performance bonusing, benefits, 401K are also part of the total compensation offering.
