About the Role:
An individual in this role analyzes and evaluates customer credit information for underwriting of new and renewal Agricultural, C&I and CRE credit requests comprised of working capital lines of credit, asset-based lines of credit, Agricultural Real Estate loans, commercial real estate loans (Owner Occupied and Investor) and equipment financing; most often from simple to moderately-complex enterprises with revenues greater than $5 million. Collaborates with Relationship Managers to accurately present findings, including business rationale and risk mitigations, in order to obtain credit approval and meet customer needs.
- Analyze business, industry, financial data and other supporting credit information concerning an applicant’s credit request; identifies key business and financial risks that may impact the repayment prospects by the Borrower; presents facts to and collaborates with Relationship Managers to derive conclusions supporting the credit recommendation based on documented facts and/or sound judgement;
- Prepare timely, concise and accurate credit recommendations, with normal level of supervision, including quantitative components within the underwriting narrative documenting the credit analysis;
- Monitor borrower financial performance in line with Agricultural, commercial and/or real estate loan documents; collaborates with Relationship Specialist and Relationship Manager to ensure borrower notifications are sent and approvals are obtained to resolve any violations in a timely manner.
- Partners with Relationship Managers to offer insights into customer financial needs, including opportunities identified using Line of Business-approved relationship expansion tools.
- Partner with Relationship Managers in customer and prospect calls as appropriate.
- May oversee the work of other commercial underwriters or credit analysts, including the timely review of credit reports prepared by other underwriters.
About You:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, Business, Finance, Accounting, or other related field or the equivalent in experience, required.
- 2-4 years of commercial underwriting / credit analysis or relevant lending experience, required.
- 2-4 years Agricultural underwriting/credit analysis experience, required.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced credit and credit quality skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis experience.
- Demonstrate time management skills, reflecting the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering work product on time.
- Proven ability to spread company and personal financial statements, including income tax returns, using Moody’s Risk Analyst or other comparable spreading tool.
- Experience in analysis of financial reporting specific and unique to Agribusiness, including Operating Budgets.
- Proficient Knowledge of Agribusiness Credit, policies and procedures.
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience underwriting Agribusiness loans.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships.
- Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of credit policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $76,603.00 to 142,263.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
