Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards
- The desire to learn and grow within an organization
Responsibilities
- The Accountant position develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting process during month end close
- This role is a unique opportunity to grow your career outside of traditional accounting by working on financial analysis and ad hoc projects
- In addition, you will be responsible for helping with various integrations and acquisitions of various companies and markets
- Complete month end close processes to ensure revenue is recorded timely and accurately
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual management and compliance reporting as required
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales operation, account management, development, product, professional services, finance and legal on business matters
- Prepare journal entries
- Handle revenue and general ledger accounting matters
- Perform and review financial statement variance analysis; ensure meaningful and accurate explanations for fluctuations to assist management with business decisions
- Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis in a timely manner
- Research accounting treatment for non-standard transactions and explain any issues or propose alternative solutions
- Assist with the technical accounting research and documentation of accounting findings for complex transactions under guidance
- Support the quarterly and annual audit requests
- Drive process improvements and optimize efficiencies in the accounting and reporting areas, including elimination or streamlining of manual or non-effective tasks
- Provide training to new and existing team members on applicable policies, protocols, systems, and procedures
- Manage and assist Ad-hoc requests and special projects
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
