Job Summary
Manages the operational and associate activities of the Finance and Accounting (F&A) department at a manufacturing operation, establishing policies, practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the completion of daily functions including G/L, A/P, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Costing, Cash Management, Financial Reporting and Analysis.
- Manages department budget.
- Leads all audits, both external and internal.
- Prepares and ensures the company financial statements and all related financial and tax reports.
- Responsible for internal controls, financial systems and integrity of all financial data.
- Reviews and approves affiliate intercompany matching reports. Responsible for quarterly financial consolidation review and support.
- Evaluates/implements internal controls by creating and revising policies and procedures. Resolves related issues in these areas.
- Assists associates in developing individual goals and objectives. Provides coaching, support and assessment of talent.
- Maintains key financial KPIs.
- Supports efficiency and North America standardization initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
- 8+ years of relevant experience including 5-8 years of more progressive financial and demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS is required. Additionally, understanding current accounting operational processes (e.g. financial close, gross profit, J-SOX, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit factual information to internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible.
- Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to customer issues.
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles and basic tax knowledge.
- Project management skills.
- Advanced systems knowledge (e.g. ERP experience, advanced Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Complete understanding of the financial close process.
- Understanding of local compliance requirements.
- People management.
- Ability to strategically plan, develop and maintain goals and objectives.
Salary $112,000-$140,000.
