ZOETIS - Senior Financial Analyst
Role Description
An exciting opportunity exists within the Zoetis Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) organization for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to serve in a key role as a Senior Financial Analyst on the Zoetis GMS Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director, GMS Finance Center of Excellence, and be a member of a team responsible for providing manufacturing finance support for all of the Zoetis U.S. Medicated Feed Additive (MFA) manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- A member of the GMS Finance CoE team that will serve as an extension of the site finance team for all U.S. MFA Manufacturing sites in all aspects of manufacturing finance site support.
- Perform the month end closing process for all U.S. MFA sites, including manufacturing variance analysis (MUV, PPV, Volume, and Spending), creating journal entries, calculating accruals, generating month end management reporting, performing account reconciliations and interfacing with site teams to resolve financial issues.
- Contribute to the completion of the Monthly Operations Summary report for each MFA site with commentary for all variances for submission to GMS Finance including executing the collection of variance explanations from plant-level resources for inclusion in variance analysis.
- Work with MFA U.S. function leads and MFA U.S. Finance Director to prepare latest estimates in accordance with submission calendar and participate in reviews with GMS leadership. Support Finance Director, External Supply and Medicated Feed Additives with reviews of site estimates and projects to understand and remediate key drivers.
- Support annual budgeting process, co-ordinate with function leads on various aspects including headcount, volumes and operating expense. Participate in annual budget review with GMS leadership.
- Work directly with the MFA site finance teams, Zoetis Financial Shared Services and other groups outside the CoE to resolve and correct issues discovered during the closing process.
- Support internal and external SOX audits and ensure SOX compliance within the CoE and at the MFA manufacturing sites.
- Liaise with MFA Site Finance Teams to resolve issues and ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment and be open to change.
- Work closely with the Director of the GMS Finance CoE to ensure personal career development.
- Willingness to travel to MFA sites as necessary.
- Finance related ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business degree
- MBA or Masters Degree in business-related field a plus
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) a plus
Experience
- A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing finance/cost accounting environment required.
