About Your Role:
As a Senior Primary Research Analyst, you will further build upon your previous experiences in executing primary research (including quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews, and more) to understand our users in their moments of need and as they interact with our digital, print, and product offerings.
In this role, you will help plan and execute primary research to support everything from brand strategy to product development to editorial tentpoles to pitches for our advertising partners and agencies. You will execute survey design and interview/discussion guides with some degree of independence while also relying on senior research staff for input and ideas to guide your work and continue your personal growth. Strong project management skills and attention to detail are also key to this position.
You will present learnings from your research projects in a digestible manner for internal and external teams and continue to develop strong verbal presentation skills, including the ability to present quantitative findings to non-technical audiences.
This position is for those with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in primary research and is one level above the entry-level position of Research Analyst within the department. Ideally, your background and experiences will demonstrate a tendency and curiosity toward exploring consumer behavior through previous work at a research supplier, media/advertising agency, or research department of a consumer-facing company. You should convey the ability to translate data sets into clear and concise insights and package these insights into visual presentations that tell a meaningful story. Please emphasize any experience or knowledge within these fields: digital media, quantitative or qualitative research, online panel communities, statistical analysis, and creating marketing presentations.
About You
- You have demonstrated an inclination toward exploring consumer behavior in previous work at a research supplier, media/advertising agency, or research department of a consumer-facing company.
- Preferred background in any of these fields: psychology, mathematics, statistics, research methodology, business, marketing, advertising, data analytics, survey methodology.
- The ideal candidate has the following qualities: solid problem-solving and communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong attention to detail, working knowledge of data analysis, comfort with ambiguity and an inquisitive nature, innovative and creative thinking, and verbal presentation skills.
- Excellent storytelling skills will help you translate data and insights into compelling, concise, and actionable recommendations across the business, packaging these into visual presentations that tell a meaningful story.
- Demonstrating a proactive work ethic, strong collaboration with other team members, and a genuine desire to create insights that truly impact our business will be critical to your long-term success and advancement on your career path toward Research Manager with strong support and mentoring from your manager. Although not required, the ideal candidate has experience in any one or more of these fields: digital media, quantitative or qualitative research, online panel communities, statistical analysis, and creating marketing presentations.
Pay Range
Salary: $62,400 - $75,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
