E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Cable Management Specialist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Services (NITES). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other commands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
- Coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
- Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
- Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Plans and implements the modernization of servers.
- Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Develops and implements new standards, policies and procedures.
Works closely with Network and Systems Analysts to help determine and develop the systems that will be implemented.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- Compliance with DoD 8140 IAT II requirements (e.g., a current Security+ CE certificate).
- Moderate to high-level of expertise in MS Office products.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical and communications skills to enable effective dialogue between internal and external customers, at all levels.
- Experience with DoD cryptographic equipment and related material handling and use.
- Experience with Department of Defense messaging and messaging systems.
- Experience in a high-visibility, mission-focused environment where systems availability is closely monitored and prioritized.
