As the Analyst, Receivables Management, you will ensure the timely collection of all amounts due under customer contracts while maintaining a strong client relationship. This involves utilizing the Collection Escalation Process to include letters and phone calls, while at the same time addressing customer disputes, concerns or inquiries.
This position is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba or Kansas City, MO.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Timely monitoring and collecting of past due receivables; maintaining confidentiality while protecting CPKC’s financial position
- Adherence to daily targets and departmental objectives
- Investigates, validates and resolves account discrepancies/disputes, by working with both CPKC’s internal & external customers
- Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strategically manages multiple escalated accounts in addition to a non-escalated portfolio
- Drills down to the root cause to resolve complex issues; ensuring a go-forward process is in place
- Builds business cases to support account resolution
- Drives process improvements by proactively identifying issues and implementing solutions
- Provides subject matter expertise and support functions to other departments or projects, and performs other duties as may be assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting or Business Administration
- Two years’ experience in a collections or related role
- Railroad or transportation experience preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
- SAP system (ECC & S4) knowledge is an asset
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills with a proven ability to deliver results
- Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team

Management Conductor Program:
