JOB SUMMARY
The Fuel Tax Coordinator III acts as a subject matter expert and escalation point for SSC/HQ Fuel Tax teams and offshore vendor. The Coordinator will process fuel tax documents, collaborate with customers, vendors, and Ryder team members to address and resolve reporting and document concerns. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing multiple automated and semi-automated customer processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Approve, validate, and process fuel tax reports for all Customers. Manage and maintain document receipt as well as vendor escalation queues. Ensure format and file type are acceptable to Ryder and IFTA.
- Distribute and oversee workload for Collection Coordinator II and assign cases to Compliance Counterparts to address missing/inaccurate data.
- Oversee automated and semi-automated processes including but not limited to addressing escalations, technical issues, tracking, and productivity reporting.
- Identify customers utilizing a system or format that is compatible with an automated provider. Collaborate for setup of electronic data transfer.
- Responsible for maintaining updated reporting including but not limited to customer, vehicle, and vendor information to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Provide education, training, and support for customers, vendors, and Ryder teams as well as education and guidance for specialized situations with internal and external customers.
- Lead special projects including delegation, progress reports, and completion analysis.
- Audit manual and backup files to confirm data continuity to mitigate IFTA audit risk.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly scorecard metrics associated with designated areas.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HS diploma or GED, required.
- Three (3) years or more of related work experience, required.
- Three (3) years or more related business experience in Fuel Tax, required.
- Knowledge of Fuel Tax requirements, processes, and restrictions, intermediate required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), intermediate required.

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
