Cover & Rossiter is seeking an Audit Staff Accountant in Wilmington, DE. This position is for individuals with 1 – 3 years of audit experience (CPA and experience with captives preferred), or a recent college graduate.

They have a depth of technical knowledge within their discipline and stay current on tax code changes. They contribute to the team by handling challenges in a positive, professional manner, effectively managing the demands of tax and audit deadlines, contributing new ideas, and mentoring staff accountants.
DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERTISE
In addition to the core competencies, the candidate will ideally have:
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting
- CPA license preferred
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years related work experience
- Experience in audits of nonprofits, for-profits, and captives preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently
- Proficiency in researching and interpreting tax rules
- Proficient computer skills in accounting workpaper systems, and MS Office products
