Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities: We are on the lookout for an experienced and insightful Senior Analyst to enhance our team’s capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial concepts, advanced analytical skills, and a strategic mindset. This role demands the execution of complex financial analyses and valuations, leading support for investment banking activities, and the development and refinement of sophisticated financial models. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and enhancement of Excel models for financial statement analysis and valuation purposes.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of financial statements to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, understanding the intricate relationships between the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Performing advanced calculations of financial ratios and metrics to evaluate company performance over time.
- Analyzing capitalization tables and equity agreements to discern nuances in different classes of securities, such as Common, Preferred, Options, Warrants, Convertible, and Non-Convertible Notes.
- Overseeing the determination of total authorized and outstanding shares/options across various security classes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of option agreements to detail information on issued and pooled options, their vesting schedules, and the status of exercised, canceled, and outstanding options.
- Leading the integration of capitalization table data into complex valuation models.
- Guiding financial analysis, industry research, and economic trend analysis to project business performance and support strategic investment decisions.
- Executing company valuations using advanced methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Public Companies, Precedent Transactions, and Back-Solve Method.
- Expertly allocating values among different share classes using sophisticated methods like the Option Pricing Model, Current Value Method, and PWERM.
- Preparing and presenting detailed valuation reports, summarizing findings from comprehensive analysis and valuation efforts.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, CPA, or equivalent, with a strong track record in financial analysis, valuation, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, valuation, or a similar role, with a proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in business valuation, financial modeling, and financial analysis.
- Mastery of advanced Excel functions and the ability to develop and refine complex financial models.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
