This position reports to the Senior Manager, Assistant Treasurer, and plays a critical and impactful role on the Treasury Debt Operations team. This individual will be responsible for debt variance analysis reporting, forecasting, process improvement and monitoring of financial instruments for QTS. This role requires a highly motivated and positive individual who must also possess strong analytical skills, have the ability to work independently, be collaborative across multiple teams, be comfortable with ambiguity, and the ability to manage high priority, concurrent tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This is a unique and multi-faceted role supporting the financial reporting initiatives of the Treasury team.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on all debt and project cash reporting required by the business and lending partners.
- Develop concise and accurate treasury reporting and dashboards utilized by senior leadership.
- Responsible for the interest and financial instruments budget model and deliverables for annual and quarterly budget reforecasts. This includes budget to actual variance analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting to deliver monthly interest accruals and reporting for financial instruments.
- Assist with the Financial Instruments implementation of the Treasury Management System with an increased focus on report building within the tool. Manages ongoing support of the TMS for the Treasury Debt Operations team including report building and analysis.
- Assist FP&A with quarterly reporting and debt covenant requirements required by lenders and debt servicing teams.
- Manages the ongoing cash pool transfer reporting process and leads all optimization efforts on behalf of the Treasury team to ensure QTS remains compliant with our loan requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives and other special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience
- Three or more years of professional experience in Treasury, Accounting or Finance.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Highly analytical mindset and strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday, Adaptive Insight, Treasury Management System or other system experience
- CTP, FPAC, CPA, CFA or other Finance Certification
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Advanced writing and communication abilities
