- Position: IT Financial Analyst
- Location: Arlington Heights, IL
- Full Time
- Hours: 8am - 430pm, Monday - Friday
Job Summary
The IT Financial Analyst develops and maintains documentation and financial tracking tools for liabilities across IT cost centers. Oversees data entry into financial tracking tools and ensures strict quality control for all data entered. Ensures that data is entered and processed in alignment with established Service Level Agreements for processing IT transactions. Resolves any questions or issues preventing financial or legal transaction throughput. Ensures master documentation of IT budget, liabilities, contracts, capital projects, and commitments are current and accurate.
Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Processing and tracking of all IT contracts, invoices, capital projects and operating budget preparation for multiple cost centers.
- Collaborates with Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal departments’ staff to research and resolve all outstanding issues ensuring accurate IT documentation and record tracking.
- Lead financial performance management and financial analysis by preparing & developing monthly financial documents.
- Ensures compliance with strict IT financial controls and reconciliation between IT financial documents and general ledger.
- Conduct meetings with executive IT leadership to discuss IT finances.
- Works with IT leadership to recommend, compile, submit, and validate monthly close submissions for the department.
- Monitor and escalate issues to IT leadership for all active contracts, requisitions, invoices, and capital projects.
- Leads & supports the budget preparation process including preparing & developing budget documents based on well-maintained historical data, monitoring of all budget changes, ensuring accounts are in balance and preparing adjustments as needed.
- Develops, maintains, and reconciles department-wide reports used to monitor expenses and provides historic trending.
- Works with IT leadership team to develop tools and reports to improve allocation and tracking of operating expenses, capital expenses, and contracts.
- Inputs and provides support for the IT Department by serving as an expert resource in Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance processes.
- Liaises with Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal to ensure IT Financial and Legal processes integrate into organizational workflows.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience with financial management and budget tracking responsibility, preferably within IT.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft office skills required.
Minimum Education Level
- The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
