ROLE SUMMARY
The Cash Management activity is a key treasury focus. Treasury Operations Team primarily supports the U.S. market (Pfizer Inc. and all its majority-owned or controlled, U.S. affiliates). The team executes and accounts for high-value and time-sensitive payments or receipts related to several initiatives such as business development, debt servicing, share repurchase, dividends and intercompany netting.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position entails activities related to the U.S. Cash pool banking structure. This role plays an integral part on the Treasury Operation team in designing and implementing enhancement to the Treasury function for efficiency. This position is a key liaison to the GBS Teams in Memphis, Tampa, Dalian, and the Dublin Treasury Center. Finally, the position ensures compliance with all SOX and Audit requirements. Provide ad-hoc support to other groups in the Treasury organization (Capital Markets, Corp Strategy etc.) on various technical analytical projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage bank services and products while fostering relationships at major banking institutions to satisfy the company’s treasury needs within budgeted cost restraints.
- Manage all the bank accounts openings, modifications and closures for Pfizer Inc domestic banking relationships or related services.
- Utilize Cash-pro applications features to group various user groups within Pfizer and streamline new user access, additions, and modifications of user profile.
- Monitor all the ACH and Stop payment controls available at Bank of America and do quarterly review for all preauthorized debits.
- Review and maintain the Treasury Request Manager bank system as aligned with the Pfizer’s System Accord review.
- Quarterly review of LOCs exposure and submit report to the Controllers group.
- Manage and facilitate payment of all US Domestic banking fees to yearly fiscal budgets.
- Review all Letter of Credits, Standby Trust, and Escrow related service fees.
- Integrate Bank Accounts related to all Acquisition and divestitures.
- Perform back-up role for daily cash liquidity analysis and calculate the daily cash needs and the cash position while adhering to segregation of duties guidelines.
- Perform back-up role in the monthly netting and comp-out process whereby satisfying intercompany cash accounting requirements to the cash position.
- Adhere to full compliance of Audit and SOX requirements for daily accounting and cash management activities.
- Special projects as required within the treasury operations team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or similar quantitative field
- 3-5 years’ experience within Finance/Treasury organization
- Knowledge of Capital Markets with a focus on short term investments (SEC Rule 2A7) and short-term debt (Commercial Paper)
- Knowledge of SOX 404 regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Key attributes include strong analytical & interpersonal skills, detail-oriented individual with a sharp focus on performance and delivery of results.
- Ability to manage and prioritize on numerous tasks, and competing business needs and aptitude to maintain focus in a high-pressure environment.
- Pro-actively resolve issues as they arise and to work on their own while understanding limitations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred but not required.
- U.S. cash management knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with banking platforms, FIS Quantum Treasury Workstation and SAP preferred but not required.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work during Company Holidays that are not U.S. Banking Holidays.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary. Pfizer compensation structures and benefit packages are aligned based on the location of hire. The United States salary range provided does not apply to Tampa, FL or any location outside of the United States.
