SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
- Analyze financial results, trends and metrics for more complex revenue generating BU’s.
- Develop and prepare monthly reporting package including variance analysis vs. Budget, as well as tracking of key metrics.
- Meet with business leaders to present monthly results, identifying key insights, risks and opportunities, and proactively providing recommendations for financial and operating performance improvement.
- Prepare more complex ad-hoc analysis to support business unit goals and/or Finance Department reporting needs.
- In partnership with business leaders, develop the annual operating budget for assigned business units.
- Lead Strategic Planning activities for assigned business units. Prepare monthly and/or quarterly financial projections.
- Actively participate in special projects for assigned business units, as well as the Finance Department.
- Leads the Board reporting for Strategic Initiative progress updates.
- Function as Back-up Systems Administrator for Corporate Performance Management system and Strategy Map/Strategic Initiative tracking system.
- Supervise interns and provide detailed training to new departmental employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
- 5-7 years Financial and/or Management Reporting experience in a Bank or Financial Services environment.
- Experience in monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and annual budget preparation.
- Expert analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication skills. Comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Highly organized with ability to work independently.
- Detail oriented with experience in multi-tasking assigned responsibilities.
- Strategic thinking.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Banking and/or Financial Services experience.
- Practical experience working with Bank budgeting and reporting software packages.
