Job Summary:
Trane in Denver, CO or other office locations in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountains's region is hiring for an Equipment Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be closely interacting with customers, account manager(s), other assigned project managers, technicians and suppliers to ensure timely completion of assigned estimates and project execution. Responsibilities include technical selection and pricing of equipment for each project. Must be able to provide estimating support to the equipment sales team.
Where is the work:
- This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
- Responsible for estimating the costs of replacing Light Commercial Unitary equipment.
- Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions for the customer’s problems.
- Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the entire customer’s HVAC system design and installation requirements.
- Develops, evaluates, and discusses possible solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer.
- Coordinates selection, pricing, and integrates equipment, controls, and services for each project.
- Prepares, finalizes, and reviews preliminary and/or final proposal complete. Prepares equipment submittals and validates equipment selection.
- Assist Account Manager determine proposal price, selling strategy, and develop project fulfillment schedule with project team.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related study; or one (1) to three (3) years of related experience with estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC or construction management; or equivalent combination of education and industry related experience.
- Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high paced environment with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.
- Must be able to travel locally on occasion and possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
- DUI in the previous 3 years
- Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $70,000-90,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
