Role
The Senior Financial Analyst-Accounting is responsible for performing analysis, data manipulation and reporting of financial information to internal and external parties. Responsible for the data processed, analysis outcomes, and reports provided.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPA or Master’s in Accounting or Business Administration preferred; may be substituted by work experience
- Minimum of five (5) years in Accounting and/or Budget/Decision Support, preferably in a multi-entity setting
- Minimum of two (2) years of Healthcare experience preferred
- Proficient in the advanced use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and complex financial systems
- Strong customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Solid critical thinking, organizational skills and competency in accounting and analysis
- Proficient in time management with the ability to prioritize a variety of duties

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and files Medicare PIP reports.
- Develops financial projections, income statements, balance sheets, financial ratios, etc., for the evaluation of new or existing programs.
- Compares financial indicators to other healthcare providers, both locally and nationally.
- Gathers/prepares all required data for annual Medicare cost reports; coordinates with other staff/departments to meet report deadlines.
- Schedules, organizes and compiles all required information for preparation of Federal Forms 990 and 990PF; coordinates with Organization’s staff as well as external accounting consultants to complete and submit the reports.
- Prepares and files other external reports for regulatory agencies such as Medicare cap reporting, State of Florida, etc.
- Prepares variance analyses and completes other special projects as requested.
- Prepares monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, related/associated schedules and conducts ongoing analysis of all assigned GL accounts.
- Assists with the coordination of the annual audit and the preparation and review of the annual audited financial statements.
- Completes the quarterly debt covenant calculations and submission to the bank.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
