Overview:
Summary Statement:
The Lead Representative, Accounts Payable is responsible for performing a wide variety of accounts payable functions which include invoice processing, check disbursements, and customer vendor relations. Additionally, the lead will provide support to the Accounts Payable team and manager. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices and procedures.
Job Duties:
Primary Job Duties:
- Mentor other Accounts Payable associates and provide input regarding training, performance management, problem resolution and other areas in conjunction with department management.
- Audit invoices to determine accurate coding to proper general ledger accounts.
- Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain required accounts payable documents and record.
- Match invoices with receivers, purchase orders and requisitions.
- Perform data entry associated with Accounts Payable.
- Prepare and review payment runs for accuracy, payment terms and proper approval.
- Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts, including telephone, mail or email correspondence.
- Participate in and assist with coordination of month-end closing.
- Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory position in a similar or related field.
- Working knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
- Previous experience working in Accounts Payable in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of previous Accounts Payable experience in a similar or related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
