The Senior Accountant, under the Regional Accounting Leader's guidance, is the financial backbone for specific business units, overseeing financial records, analysis, and reporting. Key responsibilities include crafting financial summaries, participating in business initiatives, and collaborating on projects that span across the enterprise, such as acquisition integration, system updates, and the standardization of processes and reporting protocols to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting while securing company assets. A strong background in manufacturing costing and IFRS reporting is essential. This role is uniquely positioned to serve as a catalyst for change, actively leading the adaptation and improvement of processes and systems. Highlighting the need for agility, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the business units' transition to a new Oracle ERP system within the next 12 months, driving standardization and innovation during this critical period.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of accounting records including general accounting and costing
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements and other management reports
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document business transactions
- Monthly close, reporting, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist in the implementation of accounting and internal controls policies
- Assist in the maintenance of the Chart of Accounts and financial reporting structure
- Analyze and explain results to plan
- Review revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting transactions
- Perform the input and handling of financial data and reports for Creation's financial systems
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits
- Other duties assigned

Experience
- Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within a dynamic business environment, preferably with a mid-large manufacturing company
- Minimum 2 years of cost accounting experience
- Experience and demonstrated ability in effectively partnering with senior business leaders, developing a broad understanding of all aspects of operations
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills to understand, interpret, and accurately measure financial performance and communicate financial data
- Track record of being a contributing member of a high performance accounting team
- Working knowledge Tier1 ERP system preferred (Oracle, SAP)
- Strong computer skills – MS office suite
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- A CPA designation is highly desirable, though not mandatory. Candidates who demonstrate a comparable level of knowledge and expertise through a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between USD $80k-$100k per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
