Role Overview
The Staff Accountant is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to bring their experience to our rapidly growing company. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for order processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliations. Most importantly, the Staff Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day operations to keep moving Xima forward. This is a fast-paced and ground floor opportunity to work alongside the Accounting Manager and CFO with a pathway for many career growth opportunities with a proven PE-backed SaaS business.
Requirements
- Assist in all daily accounting functions
- Complete month end closing tasks to ensure the financial statements are represented appropriately
- Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, expense reporting (full cycle accounting)
- Ensure tax compliance with various government agencies
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to uphold and improve proper GAAP accounting
- Ad Hoc reporting for management, operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- High degree of proficiency with MS Excel
- Previous experience in QuickBooks and Salesforce preferred
- Working knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Previous experience working in a Software-as-a-Service company is a plus
- Must be a self-starter, be well-organized, and have strong work ethics
- Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic, high-growth environment, including but not limited to handling multiple tasks at one time and changing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including problem identification, analysis, action planning, and execution
Xima's offices are in a Hybrid environment with its corporate headquarters located in South Jordan, UT and a satellite office in the heart of Downtown Denver, Colorado. Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary between $55,000 and $65,000, and eligibility for annual bonus.
