We are looking for a new member of our Finance team.
Senior Finance Analyst – Transactional FXThis position requires a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate strong operational and strategic financial leadership capabilities while deeply engaging in Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D and Treasury business processes.
A strong understanding of hedging principles, inventory accounting and how currency impacts our financials is required. The project will transform the way J&J operates its processes and technology in relation to Forecasting, Hedging Integration, FX Reporting and Analytics.
The Senior Analyst will report into the Finance Manager – Transactional FX – Implementation lead.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, deliver and implement Transactional FX deployment across J&J entities in the area of FX Planning and Reporting, Exposure Identification and Hedging.
- Support requirements between Transactional FX and Treasury Management System Deployment teams.
- Support the operational execution of Transactional FX roll out globally.
- Contribute to the alignment of key business priorities with new technology that provides end to end solutions across P&L, Balance Sheet, and financial management reporting.
- Support the integration of new tool with ERPs (TransAct), Planning (Anaplan/Datahub) and digital reporting.
- Ensure all specifics of Sector requirements are appropriately documented, mapped, and integrated within the deployment plan.
- Support Cross Sector Standardization between Innovative Medicine, Vision & Medtech on Future Global processes designed on Transactional FX.
- Identify and assess local / regional requirements for the different affiliates to incorporate into functional design.
- Assess and implement required changes to documentation across J&J’s SOX, WWP's, internal policies and procedures.
- Drive standardization and rationalization of processes and supporting tools to create an improved way of working / SOP.
- Ensure all Transactional FX end state designs are aligned and consistent with J&J Exposure management and Hedge Accounting policy (WWP230A).
- Provide and update design documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions and global FX policy improvements.
- Collaborate across Innovative Medicine, Vision & Medtech organizations to identify, formalize and implement interim and end state finance processes.
- Contribute and support training and communications sessions across broader finance organization.
- Partner with finance teams in the various phases of the projects, working with subject matter experts throughout design, testing, cut over, launch and hyper care.
- Contribute and be hands on during testing and data validation phase.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in economics or equivalent is required. Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant business experience in a sophisticated and international environment is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and levels.
- Experience in a business partnership role, with the ability to understand complex business dynamics and navigate matrix organization.
- Proven agile attitude and creative mentality, comfortable driving change and innovation.
- Demonstrates comfort in times of ambiguity.
- Experience with working in global / virtual environments is a plus.
- Can work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong technical and accounting expertise (US GAAP, ERPs, SigniFI) with strong compliance mentality.
- Project management experience would be a great asset.
- Positive, with a can-do attitude, but realistic and not afraid to say no.
- Proficiency in English required.
