Job Description
DUTIES:
Responsible for preparing, examining, or analyzing client’s tax reports, accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports for clients using various accounting and statistical tools, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Duties include:
- Conducting tax issue research and advising clients on best accounting practices for the specific industry of the client.
- Analyzing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice to clients in US and international tax laws.
- Reporting to client’s management regarding the finances of the establishment.
- Evaluating, developing, implementing, modifying, and examining client’s document record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Preparing documentation for company policies and procedures for strengthening clients’ internal controls and compliance.
- Establishing tables of accounts and assigning entries to proper accounts, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, and preparing journal entries for clients.
- Computing taxes owed and preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
- Advising clients in areas such as compensation, employee health care benefits, the design of accounting or data processing systems, or long-range tax or estate plans.
- Developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Providing external auditing services for corporate clients and cooperating with clients’ internal auditors and finance managers to conduct annual financial audits.
- Preparing financial and board packages, drawing charts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets to illustrate technical reports.
- Conducting budget/forecast financial modeling and analysis of financial information.
- Reviewing and analyzing financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance purposes using various statistical and accounting tools.
SALARY RANGE:
$110,000-$120,000/year, depending upon experience

For NYC, the expected salary range for this position is between $67,840 and $105,667.2. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
