About The Role
The Accounting Manager at McKesson will be a part of our Global Technical Controllership group. This role will focus on international and corporate accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statement preparation. You will play a crucial role in the close process and maintaining the integrity of corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure integrity of the General Ledger through month-end close and supporting documentation.
- Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations and multi-currency journal entries.
- Manage and report cash balances to meet operating and financing needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on financing plans, M&A activities, and corporate initiatives.
- Oversee accounting for transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany policies.
- Partner with various departments and business units to support external reporting and audits.
- Implement and optimize accounting and reporting processes using technology and systems.
- Prepare reporting packages for senior leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
Critical Skills
- Experience with multi-national organization month-end and quarterly close activities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong cross-functional written and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze both details and the bigger picture.
- Proficiency in systems such as SAP, FCCS, SmartView, and Blackline (preferred).
Education
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field.
Physical Requirements
Potential travel as needed.
