Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing our accounting operations on a day-to-day basis, which includes preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and managing accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate has knowledge of accounting principles and practices, strong organizational and analytical skills, and is committed to maintaining accuracy, quality, and integrity in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts to assess the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes, enhance internal controls, and drive operational efficiency.
- Support annual audits and tax filings by providing accurate and timely financial data and assisting external auditors as needed.
- Develop and maintain financial models and KPI dashboards to facilitate financial planning and analysis.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Stay current on industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices to proactively recommend enhancements to financial policies and procedures.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP financial accounting and reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical mindset.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
- CPA certification and/or public accounting experience.
- 2+ years' experience, preferably in the software/SaaS industry.
- Experience in international accounting standards.
