HDR is hiring an experienced Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst with advanced working knowledge in enterprise and web Esri GIS Systems (Portal/AGOL) to join our growing GIS team. Our team delivers exciting and cutting-edge solutions to many different market sectors including the federal government, local utilities, city government, and private clients. Primary Responsibilities
- Independently configure Esri Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise
- Independently perform advanced spatial analyses using ArcGIS or other GIS software
- Leverage understanding of geodatabase design concepts
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise
- Independently organize and deliver large complex GIS analysis projects either as a Project Manager or GIS technical team leader
- Work with non-GIS Project Managers and clients to design and effectively employ GIS
- Develop vector and raster spatial analysis models using Spatial Model Builder, Python or other GIS scripting languages
- Serve as GIS lead for project marketing, budget development and resource scheduling
- Prepare quality control and assurance plans for GIS tasks and oversee their implementation
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences or closely related field
- A minimum of 10 years of practical GIS experience; advanced degree in relevant field may offset 5 years
- Proficient in use of ArcGIS and ArcGIS extensions (3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Publisher, etc.)
- Expertise in data gathering and analysis, including statistics and geostatistics.
- Working knowledge of database subtypes, domains, attribute rules, and contingent values
- Experience with Experience Builder, Web App Builder, Esri Dashboards, Story Maps
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write reports that summarize spatial analyses and communicate findings with charts, tables and narrative
- Ability to serve as a GIS project leader including development of technical approach, scheduling, and quality control and assurance
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to customize/configure Esri Industry Solutions
- Experience in remote sensing, asset management, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, or mobile GIS (ArcGIS Mobile, ArcPad)
- GISP, AICP, PE or other professional certification
- Working knowledge of Extract Transform Load (ETL) techniques using geoprocessing, model builder and FME tools.
- Experience with scripting languages (python, arcade, R)
- Experience with Esri GeoBIM, Urban, Indoors, Utility Network
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with application development processes
- Experience with administrating ArcGIS Online/Enterprise
