About you

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of managing a commercial building - from operations and financial activities to managing important relationships with our tenants and property owners. From managing service contracts and tracking bid packages to completing property inspections and making recommendations, you'll have the opportunity to share your innovative ideas to continually improve how we manage our commercial properties.
In this role, you will...
- Maintain owner and tenant relationships through appropriate communication. Understand marketplace rental levels and pricing. Responsible for promoting the leasing of vacant spaces.
- Develop and maintain Tenant User's Manual.
- Assist in the supervision of onsite staff, including maintenance, administration, and leasing, and evaluate the work product of the team to ensure quality service delivery. Supervise construction management projects as required.
- Conduct revenue/expense analysis and provide reports as required. Monitor expenses and implement cost controls.
- Manage receivables and ensure timely payment of rent from all tenants.
- Conduct vendor product reviews and formulate expense approval decisions.
- Organize, regularly maintain, and archive property files; administer and update database information including contractor, client, and tenant lists.
- Assist the Property Manager with obtaining supplier and contractor quotations; track contract renewal dates; handle all non-service center calls from tenants, suppliers, and contractors.
- Other duties as required.
What you'll bring
- Must possess a real estate license (where applicable).
- Minimum of 4 years related work experience in property management.
- Commercial real estate accreditation such as CPM or RPA will be an asset.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and especially strong skills in Excel.
- Excellent client relations skills with owners and tenants.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, effectively handle stressful situations, and work with minimal direction/supervision.
- Valid Driver's license.
Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $53,835 - $65,000

Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15 days' vacation annually. Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and four weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment.
