BUSINESS UNIT
Ziegler Healthcare Investment Banking M/A team is focused on delivering best-in-class advisory and financing solutions for companies and organizations across the healthcare industry. In our core practice areas of healthcare services, information technology, hospitals and senior living, Ziegler is one of the most active M&A firms offering innovative sell-side, buy-side, recapitalization/restructuring, equity private placement and strategic partnering services.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Investment Banking Senior Analyst will be responsible for leading the analytical work in support of new business development and transaction execution, as well as assisting senior bankers in the development and delivery of value-added investment banking products and services to clients and prospects. The Senior Analyst should expect a great deal of client exposure and will develop skill sets in the fundamentals of valuation, business strategy and client communication. Ziegler is interested in candidates located in, or who would be willing to relocate to, the Nashville market.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for:
- Perform valuation analysis and financial modeling for prospective and live transactions;
- Assist in the development and production of proposals and presentations to clients and prospects;
- Interact with members of corporate management teams and financial sponsors;
- Execute detailed tasks involved in all phases of M&A and private placement engagements;
- Serve as lead role in providing financial, business and market analysis with a special emphasis on reformatting financial statements and benchmarking key performance metrics;
- Provide industry and business research;
- Possessing an understanding of the firm's competition in its respective areas of expertise and can communicate what sets Ziegler apart from that competition;
- Being a resounding voice of Ziegler both inside and outside the firm;
- Building a personal brand on Ziegler’s Healthcare Investment Banking M/A team, a person who will intuitively serve clients in an extraordinary way;
- Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate possesses the following qualities:
- Minimum of two years of investment banking experience (ideally in a M&A role);
- One or more years of corporate audit, financial due diligence or valuations experience;
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills including experience in valuation, financial modeling and analysis. Financial modeling skills and business strategy execution skills are a must;
- High level of accounting knowledge and proficiency around 3-statement financial analysis.
- Significant transaction experience;
- Strong confidence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities;
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail;
- BA/BS with demonstrated coursework in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or related subjects (or analytical work experience in lieu of such coursework);
- Flexibility in working extended hours and high travel demands.

The New York salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000.
We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
