The Role
We’re looking for a Business Analyst, Insurance Consulting who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation. You will be responsible for participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members, and building industry and domain expertise. Specifically, as a Business Analyst, you have the opportunity to deliver immediate value to clients by working with a project-based team of consultants.
Responsibilities:
- Strong documentation capability and adept to design process flows depicting the future state based on current pain points.
- Review the quality of documented stories and assess the Acceptance criteria to ensure they are meeting the guidelines.
- Work with the BA team and Tech Leads to ensure requirements are clear.
- Work with BA team to ensure they are owning the demo of the system to business users during Sprint demo, UAT.
- Work with technical team to triage the defects and help in root cause analysis. Streamline process to minimize defects due to missed requirements.
- Ability to support account team to publish multiple reports to keep Cognizant leadership informed.
- Ability to think out of box and generate new ideas to do things better.
Qualifications:
- Around 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst including demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation, and documentation.
- Should possess Policy systems admin experience with P&C commercial lines and middle market segment.
- Should have consulting skills, including effective communication, expectation management, and results delivery.
- Proven ability to be a "servant leader" in a non-hierarchical environment, adopting an Agile attitude that evolves with the business.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field.
- Background in Management Education - Master’s degree preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
