Job Description:
Prescient Edge is seeking a Senior Counterterrorism Support/Insurgency Analyst to support a federal government client. Please note that the availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.

Description:
- Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.

- Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.

- Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
- Demonstrates ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
- Provides near-term and current analysis on regional terrorist organizations, Violent Extremist Organizations (VEO), illicit networks, insurgent groups and related activities.
- Shall provide Watch support on a permanent 24/7 rotational work schedule to track, monitor and produce timely and relevant all-source finished intelligence products on emergent/credible terrorism threats to U.S. interests in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Shall prioritize and review intelligence message traffic from multiple sources and message handling systems, use basic geospatial and analysis tools to build and refine finished intelligence products, coordinate with U.S. and allied CT stakeholders and present their findings in written and oral forms to USCENTCOM leaders and other relevant customers.
- Shall work cohesively with National and Defense Warning Enterprise counterparts to ensure timely warning is provided to force protection and theater defense elements to enable implementation of safeguards to protect U.S. personnel, dependents and facilities.
- Shall also provide Personnel Recovery analytic support and mission critical updates on U.S. Persons (USPERs) and allied foreign nationals held against their will by VEOs and state actors in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Shall independently produce timely, relevant all-source analysis on terrorism and terrorist activity affecting defense issues in the CENTCOM AOR in line with DNI/DIA analytic tradecraft standards.
- Coordinates with Interagency, allied partner friendly countries, IC, Cross Directorate, Components, CJTFs, HRFC, JPRA, DIA POW MIA to produce coordinated products.
- Provides full spectrum CT analytic support in AOR/AOI countries as required to support CT operations IAW Host Unit SOP.
- Shall perform and use basic geospatial and analysis tools to create targeting products, briefing slides, assessments, and support Find Fix Finish Engage Assess (F3EA).
- Shall perform call-chaining analysis of VEO networks and communications to produce HVI targeting products and pattern(s) of life.
- Performs named area of interest studies of areas where VEOs operate, safe havens, pattern of life, bed down locations to produce HVI targeting products and pattern of life assessments.
- Develops and refines collection requirements.
- Researches, identifies, and analyzes VEO capabilities to produce VEO, personnel recovery, and terrorism threat assessments per the deliverables list. Drafts and maintains list of intelligence questions regarding terrorism issues to guide production, tend analytic lines, and identify intelligence gaps IAW COMCENT priorities and the TCP.
- CENTCOM J2 requires additional Counterterrorism / Insurgency Analyst – Watch support as described. CENTCOM materially adjusts its national defense priorities and/or the current U.S. National Security posture towards strategic adversaries shifts significantly from ‘competition’ to higher risk confrontation or hostilities.
Job Requirements:
Desired experience:
- Desired minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Desired education:
- Desired master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.
Security Clearance:
- Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.
