The Rescue Mission of Trenton seeks a Financial Development Navigator. The position, supervised by the Vocational Development Coordinator, provides personalized financial education, navigation, and resources to empower clients to achieve financial stability and independence.

Position DetailsClient Financial NavigationThe Navigator works directly with clients facing various behavioral health challenges, offering guidance on budgeting, credit building, debt management, and financial goal setting. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, patient, and solutions-oriented professional with a passion to help others improve their financial well-being.
Working with the Vocational Development Coordinator and the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, the ideal candidate provides program administration, financial education and coaching, assessment and planning, resource navigation, and is a constant advocate for the client’s financial wellbeing.
Qualifications:- Preferred - B.A. in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field; or unrelated degree with relevant work experience also accepted
- Basic knowledge of management navigation/coaching versus counseling
- Basic knowledge of budgeting, credit, debt management, and savings
- Basic knowledge of the factors that support and hinder economic mobility
- Excellent relationship-building/people skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent client and team communication skills – has a sense of what needs to be communicated, to whom, how often, and in what way, for the client to be successful
- Well-organized, able to prioritize among competing tasks, and able to work independently
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred (both written and verbal)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4p
