Job Overview
Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual balance sheets, profit and loss statements, grant billings, cost reports, reconciliations, and other financial reports for various federal, state, local, and private foundation grants received by the organization. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to estimate future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures related to both general accounting and fiscal grants management. Supports grant managers and program managers with granting agency audits, as well as assists with the annual single and financial audits. Additionally, the Grants Accountant will assist the Finance Team in various monthly closing and reporting duties as directed by the Chief Accountant and Corporate Controller.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or in a similar area of specialty.
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience in the field.
