About The Role
GigSmart’s Business Analyst will be integrated deeply within Agile product teams and provide support within the Agile Scrum process, addressing the development team's day-to-day needs around product requirements and quality assurance testing. The Business Analyst will develop both product requirements for exciting new functionality and execute exploratory and regression tests to ensure product quality and deliverables meet the required business needs. This position requires a desire to learn in a dynamic environment, developing cutting-edge technologies with a focus on attention to detail, creating product requirements, and heavy manual testing. We are looking for someone who is excited to develop new features and tap glass each day.
The Business Analyst serves as a source of knowledge and documentation for other departments in the company regarding GigSmart’s product. A Business Analyst will perform these duties with guidance from GigSmart Product Owners and report directly to the Director of Product.
Responsibilities
- Document requirements and system behaviors for new features by developing complex use-case scenarios
- Ensure product quality is maintained and requirements are met through manual QA of applications
- Write clear and concise bugs, requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Track and report release progress and circulate amongst stakeholders for organization transparency
- Participate in and support product owners in Agile ceremonies and management of product backlog
- Document and monitor software development lifecycle processes for efficient development
- Update/create spec documentation with no supervision
- Uncover risks and obstacles to the development team
