Position Summary
Reporting to the CFO of the Retail / Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness segment, the Executive Director of the Retail Segment FP&A Center of Excellence (CoE) leader will coordinate all major end-to-end planning, reporting, and capital investment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team structured into 3 pillars, including Planning, Reporting, and Capital Investment & Strategic Projects. This role will be responsible for driving the respective end-to-end processes FP&A processes (e.g. Planning Lead will drive Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting across the Retail Segment).
- The Retail Segment FP&A CoE Leader will also drive the modernization of the Retail FP&A team to include automation, visualization, and other advanced FP&A functional capabilities.
- Champion the talent agenda for the Retail FP&A COE, defining and building needed talent capabilities (e.g., technical savviness, storyboarding, business partnership).
- Owner of the Planning, Reporting, and Capital Investment processes.
- Utilize key tools and applications required to effectively and efficiently lead the Retail Financial Planning and Analysis team, e.g. Hyperion, SAP.
- Champion visual automation tools like Tableau.
- Lead strategic and transformative programs to advance FP&A capabilities, organizational design and process improvement in FP&A processes.
- Develop and deliver executive level presentations, including strong logical structuring, storyboarding, and presentation delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of prior relevant experience OR Master's degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience related to leading an FP&A organization.
- 5+ years of people leader experience.
- Experience defining and executing a talent strategy for Finance, including recruitment, skill or capability development, and retention with skill in providing strategic guidance, direction, and coaching to director level team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proactively engage with the external environment for new knowledge or leading practices that may be shared with the Retail Finance organization or broader CVS Health organization.
- Apply expertise across FP&A functions within the business unit, combining theory, past practical experience and knowledge of business practices.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across departments and functions, leveraging best practices to improve Retail's Planning, Reporting, or Capital Investment processes or capabilities.
- Champion transformative strategic projects across the organization, leveraging change management capabilities to drive engagement and adoption of new tools, processes, or talent capabilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required (finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or related field).
- Master’s degree preferred (MBA).
Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is: $131,500.00 - $303,200.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
