Summary

Duty Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Duties
- Performs a variety of duties using standard economic and financial analytic methodologies necessary to complete economic analyses and reports required for water resource management studies. The studies may be an individual study, part of a more complex larger study, or an update of a previously completed study.
- Identifies, collects, compiles, and develops economic and financial background data to analyze economic and financial issues such as determining project feasibility and repayment obligations. Required data and analyses are used for modeling irrigation benefits including farm budget analysis; hydropower benefits; recreation benefits; municipal and industrial water supply benefits; fish and wildlife enhancement benefits; cost allocations; regional impact analyses; and other financial and special studies.
- Coordinates with clients and other disciplines to define project scope, schedule, and budgets. Coordinates with TSC client services to set up agreements. Monitors, tracks, schedules, and budgets.
- Prepares reports and summaries on economic factors addressing relevant factors related to specific studies.
- Participates as staff economist on multiple discipline study teams to conduct economic and financial analyses for assigned studies and provides pertinent economic and financial information to the study team. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate to determine and develop data requirements for conducting economic analyses of Reclamation plans and projects.
