Location: West Grove, PA/Hybrid – in office 3 days a week/ work from home 2 days a week
Schedule: M-F 8am - 4:30pm
Description: Star Roses and Plants is an essential employer looking for an organized Staff Accountant who would be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of a variety of financial records. This position is also responsible for maintaining financial records of the company through analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts, as well as preparing and working closely with other members within the department.
The Staff Accountant Will Have The Following Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares business analysis and various reconciliations.
- Responsible for including re-occurring journal entries in the general ledger.
- Executes accounts payable.
- Assists in maintenance of record retention/storage.
- Assists in monthly and yearly financial closings as required.
- Assists in the annual operating and capital expenditure budget process as required. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of at least one year of experience in accounting.
- Strong MS Excel skills, including the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets.
- General knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
- Able to analyze financial data and provide insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and team members.
- Ability to work independently.
- Solid attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Able to maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards in handling financial information.
- SAP experience is a plus but not necessary.
Other Requirements:
- Preferably, the candidate should live within the vicinity.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Essential Physical Abilities: This position is primarily a sedentary role that involves prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and performing general office tasks. The employee must be able to use basic office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and view the computer screen for extended periods. This role does require the employee to engage in verbal and written communication. There is occasional light lifting of office supplies.
