As Product Portfolio Manager is a strategic professional who will be responsible for developing an organizational roadmap, strategy for marketing, and request processes across the entire organization. Collaborating with team members, you'll take products and new features from beginning to end, in line with our strategic product objectives. In this role, you will need to have the ability to effectively lead and scale directing teams, strong operational skills to drive delivery utilizing agile methodologies, strong program management leadership and a strong vision for how to holistically improve the overall estate of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the activities and deliverables of a team of Product Managers and/or multiple teams to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions).
- Assist with developing strategic program roadmap, launching, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product.
- Assist with day-to-day oversight of product management for core products functions such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results.
- Develop client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients.
- Develop plans, execute functional strategies, and provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within a region or business.
- Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products, manage ongoing relationships, exercise control over resources, policy formation, and planning.
- Build strong partnership with the business stakeholders to help drive strategic direction and investment decisions.
- Own development of communication of the long-term vision and goals that drive the working backwards strategies for a portfolio of products.
- Leverage customer research, feedback, competitive analysis and industry trends to drive investment choices that will cultivate long-term innovation for the business and customer.
- Compile content for periodic Exec level communications, reviews and updates.
- Continuously assist with monitoring the KPIs of portfolio and reviews regularly with technology peers and business partners.
- For any issues, communicate to Sr. Management; assess the alternatives to resolve (“path to green”) and build a plan for resolution; make recommendations that will meet the goals and may directly implement resolution plans.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a Finance, product line management, and/or strategic planning role.
- Broad and diverse function experience in finance, client engagement, product development, program deliverable creation, and agile methodologies.
- Must have Product Knowledge/Training experience for a minimum of 1 year.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent.
- Has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
- Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing a Tech Team.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Financial Experience/domain is a huge plus.

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
