Summary
Assist the Corporate Controller in managing the operational direction and administration of activities within the assigned departments and/or outlets, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. Assist in reconciliations between Gaming and Non-Gaming functions.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of assigned leadership staff
- Monitor and control labor costs by ensuring adequate coverage based on business demands
- Assist the Controller in the creation, development, and implementation of an effective strategy of organization for areas of responsibility
- Provide leadership for the month-end closing process in Revenue/Gaming Audit as well as all Vault audits
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and P&L statements
- Coordinate and assist in all Gaming and Internal Audits
- Research and provide response to Controller regarding findings for Internal Audit and the Gaming Control Board
- Assist in documenting fixed asset requests to executive management
- Assist reviewing all tax returns (City/County and State) prior to submission to Accounts Payable
- Ensure work performance standards, and employee development programs maximize the individual growth and development of staff
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Assist in reviewing all drops prior to payments to the route partners
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- Three to Five years within a management position in Accounting
- Knowledge of Gaming systems and Food and Beverage systems
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- Previous experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
- Must be accurate and efficient with high attention to detail
- Possess excellent written, verbal and individual and group presentation communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with large groups of people in a business or community environment
- Able to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced, busy environment
- Must have excellent computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
